About

Aviation has been a passion of mine for as long as I can recall. I was raised under the traffic pattern of Flying Cloud Airport (KFCM) - a very busy general aviation airport in the Minneapolis area. KFCM was home to the Planes of Fame “East Museum” for a period of time, and my aviation bug was fueled by seeing and hearing general aviation and historic aircraft day and night. At 16 years old, I began photographing planes as soon as I could drive myself to either the museum or the Minneapolis airport to watch commercial operations. Building on this passion, I earned my private pilot’s license in 2013 and really enjoy flying and engaging with fellow members of the aviation community.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from the University of Nebraska. My BFA program exposed me to a variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, print making, textile/clothing design, and graphic design. While my career is in marketing, photography - especially history of photography - was an area I felt especially drawn towards. To this day, I still love studying black and white photography and I’m influenced by classic photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Paul Strand, Berenice Abbott, and Ansel Adams. One of my greatest honors as an artist (and an aviator) was to exhibit aviation related work at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
Aviation photography is the perfect marriage of my passion, education, and talents. I'm excited to share this passion and work with all of you. Whether you love flying or you’re looking for décor with your favorite aircraft, I hope you'll find artwork for your home, hangar, or office that represents your own passion for aviation.
